How do I register for the European Wind Investment Awards?

Entries for our inaugural European Wind Investment Awards opened in January. The competition is open to organisations of all sizes from the renewables sector specifically the wind industry.

 

What are the benefits for A Word About Wind members?

We always prioritise our members when it comes to our events. That’s why if you’re a member of the A Word About Wind community you’ll get some free nominations, number depending on your membership type, and discounted rates on award passes for the awards ceremony and gala dinner;

Silver Members – 1 free nomination + individual passes at £275

Gold Members – 3 free nominations + individual passes at £250

Platinum Members – 5 free nominations + individual passes at £225

Corporate Members – 10 free nominations + individual passes at £200

 

When is the entry deadline?

The call for entries will commence in January, with an early bird closing date of 31st May 2019 followed by a standard entry period until 28th June 2019.

 

Which category should I enter?

Think carefully about your company. Is there a specific area you feel your company or team has excelled in over the last 12 months? Is there a project which stands out? Or has the whole business delivered excellent growth?

What's the time period?

Entries should relate to work undertaken between 1st January 2018 – 31st December 2018.

What criteria are the entries judged on?

Additionally to meeting the specific award criteria, there are 4 judging criteria;

When and where will the 2019 gala awards ceremony be held?

The 2019 European Wind Investment Awards and gala dinner will be held on Thursday 31st October 2019 in London. The venue will be revealed at the end of April 2019.

 

What is the dress code for the awards ceremony and gala dinner?

Black tie

 

When will I know where I’ll be seated during the awards ceremony and gala dinner?

Closer to the event, table hosts will receive an electronic ticket which includes confirmation of each guest's table number. Table hosts should forward this on to all table guests. It is essential that all guests print out a copy and bring with them in order to gain access to the venue. Please contact your table host if you do not receive this within seven days of the event.

 

What’s on the menu?

Guests will enjoy prosecco on arrival to the event. All standard tables include 1/2 bottle of wine and iced water. Our menu is as follows:

Starter - Sweet Potato & Goats Cheese Cake, Chilli Jam, Candied Pecans (v)
Main Course - Aged Beef Fillet, Potato Fondant, Garlic beans, Glazed carrot, Caramelised Shallots, Wild Mushroom jus
Vegetarian Main Course - Roast Mushroom & Courgette Wellington with Roasted Red Pepper Compote, Garlic Green Beans, Herb Oil (v)
Dessert - Strawberry-Pistachio Mascarpone, Bakewell Tart, Pistachio Ice cream
